bby Bohna is a sixteen year-old singer/songwriter. During her childhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she displayed a gift for (and love) of music and poetry at an early age. The backyard deck became and impromptu stage for comedic skits and musical productions - Abby was always happiest entertaining audiences, large or small. Even then, she had a quick wit and could mimic anyone with hilarious accuracy that was way beyond her years.

She took Royal Conservatory Piano and Voice lessons for several years until she turned twelve and her family moved to Calgary, Alberta. Rather than resume formal piano lessons, Abby opted to take up guitar, applying the principals she'd learned to this more intimate instrument and started to explore lyrical, jazz-like and freestyle forms. (She is rarely without her guitar, because, she says with a grin, "You never know when an opportunity to jam will come about!")

Around this time, she began working with a Vocal Coach to further polish her singing skills. Music and verse began to converge, Abby drew inspiration from her own experiences and those around her, and by mid 2009, began to write the material that would become her thirteen-track CD, Fortune Teller. Some of the tracks are soulful and tender, others playful and spirited - all heartfelt and original......just like her.
